Puppy Academy: A Gentle Introduction to Grooming

Our Puppy Academy is a multi-session grooming program designed to ease your pup into the grooming experience with confidence and comfort. Offered in five sessions (or four for short-haired breeds), each visit introduces a new aspect of grooming using modern handling and desensitization techniques to ensure your puppy feels safe, relaxed, and never overwhelmed.

🐾 Session 1: Meet & Greet (30 minutes)

A warm welcome! This introductory session helps your puppy get acquainted with our team and environment, laying the foundation for trust. We’ll gently introduce grooming tools and equipment, and provide a nail trim if needed.

🧼 Session 2: Handling & Hygiene Basics (30 minutes)

We focus on gentle handling and introduce basic grooming routines: combing, brushing, ear care, foot handling, a small eye trim, and nail trim.

💨 Session 3: Desensitization to Tools (30 minutes)

This session helps your puppy become comfortable with grooming equipment like tubs, dryers, and clippers—building confidence through calm exposure and positive reinforcement.

🛁 Session 4: Full Spa Experience (90 minutes)

Time for a pampering! Your pup will enjoy a soothing bath, gentle blow-dry, and thorough brushing—designed to be both relaxing and educational.

🎓 Session 5: Graduation Groom

If your puppy has adapted well to each step, they’ll put their new skills to use in a full grooming session. This marks their official graduation from Puppy Academy—ready for regular grooming with ease!
